      Job spec:

      Location: 451A Main Road, Lemoenkloof, Paarl, 7646.
      Position: reporting to the Financial Manager of Lona Foods (Pty) Ltd.
      Description  To collect and analyse financial data to determine the gross profits of foods projects and lines as well as preparing budgets and cost reports for management, focusing on gross profit and stock control. Identify areas for cost optimization and recommending strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and to contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models.

      Requirements

      • Grade 12.
      • BCom - majoring in Cost Accounting / Financial Management.
      • CIMA (Operational level)
      • SAICA / SAIPA articles.
      • 3 years’ experience as a Management Accountant in an agricultural and/or food production environment.
      • Ability to work under pressure;
      • Communicate in a professional manner;
      • High attention to detail;
      • Ability to function independently;
      • Innovative thinker;
      • Organizational skills;
      • Deadline driven;
      • Ability to build credible relationships with internal and external clients and;
      • Ability to maintain discipline in the workplace.


      Job Duties and Responsibilities

      Financial Analysis:

      • conduct comprehensive analysis of key financial data to determine the gross profits of the various projects and food lines.
      • Identify gross profit losses and recommend focus areas to turn losses around to maximise profits.
      • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes to enhance efficiencies.

      Budgeting and Forecasting:

      • Prepare budgets and cost reports with specific focus on gross profit and stock control.
      • Identify areas for cost reduction and improvement of stock control.
      • provide information and input to assist is the strategic financial planning and decision-making.

      Costings:

      • Identify areas for cost optimization and improved cost efficiencies and recommending strategies.
      • Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
      • Develop and implement cost-effective financial procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.
      • Review all new costings for accuracy and ensure profitability of the product line.

      Process Optimisation:
      • Conduct research and contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models.

      Students are provided with the live class link, schedule, past class recordings and class homework within the Online Classroom course.
      Within each subject's Online Classroom course is a section called the "Live Webinar Module", where all the live class information is found.

      How do Premium students find the Live Webinar Module?
      1. Login at www.sacob.com
      2. Click "Access Online Classroom"
      3. Click "My courses" in the top blue taskbar
      4. Click the course you want to open and let it load
      5. Scroll down the center of the page. Do NOT use the left-hand menu
      6. Scroll down the center of the page until you see " Live Webinar Module" in blue
      7. Click "Live Webinar Module"
      8. The page will reload
      9. Scroll down center of the page.
      10. Students must scroll and read through the entire unit to see the schedule, link and past recordings for the live classes

      What should a Premium student do if they cannot complete these steps?
      If there are any issues completing these instructions, please email the following:
      1. The last step number (from above) which could be completed
      2. A full-screen screenshot of the last accessed screen
      3. A short description of what prevents the next step from being completed
